Open Positions and Terms
The following positions are up for election for 2026-2027:
- Region 2 Director
- Region 4 Director
- Region 6 Director
- At-Large Director (represents all NCSG members nationwide)
If elected, the director will serve a two-year term beginning February 2026.

Serving on the board offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the chimney industry. As a board member, you’ll help guide industry standards, represent your peers, and contribute to the growth and success of the NCSG.
Additionally, you’ll develop invaluable leadership, management, and communication skills that will not only enhance your professional career but also have a lasting impact on your personal growth.
Eligibility
- To be eligible for nomination, candidates must be the designated representative of a member company, and
- The company must be an active NCSG member of at least one year.
Board Member Responsibilities
Key board member responsibilities include:
- Attending Four Annual Board Meetings: These include strategic planning in May, the budget meeting in August, a virtual meeting in November, and the convention meeting in April 2027. Travel and lodging for the in-person meetings are reimbursed.
- Contributing to Discussions: Board members participate in the members-only and board of directors’ electronic discussion lists, helping to ensure open communication on important issues.
- Welcoming New Members: You’ll reach out to new and reinstated members via phone and email, fostering a sense of community and connection within the Guild.
- Advocating for the Industry: Board members stay informed on legislation affecting the industry and help connect members with regional updates.
- Contributing to Sweeping Magazine: Board members offer insights and updates to the Guild’s official publication.
- Serving on an NCSG Committee: Board members are expected to serve on at least one committee, playing a vital role in the Guild’s continued success.
