"This may not seem to affect the chimney industry but several times, at least in California, pollution statistics from wood burning in a wild fire has been applied to modern wood stoves with the aim of stopping wood stove use." - Bob Ferrari, NCSG Education Director
Air agencies, community groups, and other organizations are rapidly installing air sensor networks across the United States and the world. For many, the goal of collecting local air quality information is to create avenues for change and improve human health. The 2025 Air Sensors Workshop aims to (1) discuss the processes, tools, and engagement strategies that enable impact, and (2) highlight success stories and potential practical outcomes utilizing air sensors.
The workshop will be a 3-day hybrid event for both in-person and virtual attendees and presenters. This year’s event will include presentations and panel discussions with various community monitoring and air sensor stakeholders. The event will provide a forum to discuss basic air sensor policies and practices, tools for impact, community engagement, study results, and more.
