Under Pressure: House Pressure & Chimney Systems

Under Pressure: House Pressure & Chimney Systems

Our virtual Under Pressure: House Pressure & Chimney Systems class provides hands-on training designed to help chimney professionals better understand pressure diagnostics, draft measurements, and whole-house performance as it relates to chimney and venting systems.

This interactive virtual course focuses on practical application of diagnostic testing using a manometer. Participants will learn how to gather and interpret pressure readings, identify common house pressure problems, and better understand the relationship between the home, appliance, and chimney system.

Class Summary

Understanding house pressure is essential for diagnosing draft and venting problems. In Under Pressure: House Pressure & Chimney Systems, you'll learn how the house functions as a system, what causes pressure imbalances, and how those conditions affect chimney performance and safety. Through practical instruction in this one-day class, you'll gain confidence using a digital manometer, performing pressure testing, interpreting results, and identifying effective solutions to common house pressure issues you can apply in the field.
