Event Details

The house itself is a system of inter-related appliances and components which influence each other. Some of these components are passive, allowing air to naturally follow convective paths, and some are active, having blowers or fans which force air movement. Combustion appliances are influenced by this larger atmosphere. Measuring the pressure should be part of every inspection. We cover the principles of air movement and manometer use in this all day class.

This course is designed to teach the principles of air movement through a home and the way, primarily, natural draft appliances are affected within it. Part of this course will use the HAM House (Heat and Moisture) model to demonstrate these principles.
