2026 Pete Luter Innovation Award Nominations

Nominate your chimney or venting industry product(s) for the 2026 Pete Luter Innovation Award!

The Pete Luter Innovation Award was established to celebrate groundbreaking, innovative products in the chimney and venting industry. Pete Luter served as the NCSG president from 1989 to 1991. He was a leader in the industry before his life was tragically cut short in 2010 in a skydiving accident. Pete's adventurous spirit and innovative mind continues to inspire the industry he loved. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible, your product must be: 

• Anything that a chimney sweep/hearth professional would either sell to a homeowner or use in the operation of their business
• Currently available for sale
• New since January 1, 2025
• On display at the 2026 NCSG Trade Show (February 26-27) in Kansas City

Timeline

1. Nominate your product by Friday, February 20
2. Convention attendees will vote for the winner during the trade show (February 26-27)
3. The winner will be announced at the Honors & Auction Event on Friday, February 27 at 6:00 pm

Recognition

• All qualified entries will receive special signage to display at their booth during the trade show.
• The winner will enjoy a free article spotlight in Sweeping magazine (viewed by thousands of chimney sweeps!)
