|  | Sweeps Week 2007 | |  A plaque adorning the front of the building at the Tech Center states: "A small spark of originality and forethought led to the formation of the National Chimney Sweep Guild n 1977. In the spirit of growth, the Chimney Safety Institute of America was formed in 1983. That tiny spark has burst into a flame of innovation, growth, and maturity culminating in this building... the CSIA Technology Center."The Tech Center depends on Sweeps Week, which is designed to improve and beautify the Tech Center that is home to a special group of people called Chimney Sweeps. There's no better feeling that that of volunteering side-by-side with fellow chimney sweeps, striving to reach the same goal, feeling a strong sense of camaraderie and dedication. you have a chance to join the team effort during Sweeps Week 2007. Material donations are needed. Volunteer time is needed. Your knowledge and effort can be used to continue the tradition of improving your Tech Center.
